What We Teach
Online Bible
The Holy Scriptures

We teach that the Bible is God's written revelation to man, and that every word in each one of the 66 books of the Bible was equally inspired by the Holy Spirit in the original documents (Proverbs 30:5-6; 1 Corinthians 2:7-14; I Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:20-21).  As such, we affirm that these 66 books are God's complete revelation to man.

We teach that the Word of God is verbally inspired in every word, without error in the original manuscripts, infallible, and God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16).

We teach the literal, grammatical-historical interpretation of Scripture which affirms the belief that the opening chapters of Genesis present creation in six literal days (Genesis 1:31; Exodus 31:17).

We teach that the Bible constitutes the only infallible rule of faith and practice (Matthew 5:18; 24:35; John 10:35; 16:12-13; 17:17; 1 Corinthians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter1:20-21).

We teach that God, through His Holy Spirit, superintended the human authors so that, through their individual personalities and different styles of writing, they composed and recorded God's Word to man (2 Peter 1:20-21) without error in the whole or in the part (Matthew 5:18; 2 Timothy 3:16).

We teach that there is but one true interpretation of any given passage of Scripture (I Peter 1:20-21), but acknowledge that several distinct applications exist.  The meaning of Scripture may be found through diligent study accompanied by the illumination of the Holy Spirit as one remains within the boundaries of the literal grammatical-historical method of interpretation (Luke 24:44-45; John 7:17; 16:12-15; 1 Corinthians 2:7-15; 1 John 2:20-21).

We teach that it is the responsibility of every believer to diligently study and accurately represent what is the true intent and meaning of Scripture (II Timothy 2:15), realizing the responsibility of all men to submit their lives to the truths of Scripture.  We affirm that men never stand in judgment of Scripture; Scripture stands in judgment of all men (Matthew 5:17-18).
